I cordially invite you to an iconographic workshop in a beautiful place in the Beskids, in Nowica.

It is a quiet, charming borderland village, with wooden churches and a dream atmosphere for writing: icons (www.polskaniezwykla.pl)

The workshops are intended for beginners and those who want to deepen their icon writing skills.  

I invite people who are close to being in silence, in  contact with nature, and through creative work in contact with oneself.


Classes are conducted in a small group of up to 10 people.

The place of residence and work is the House of Icons - Nowica 24, renovated and adapted especially for workshop purposes related to the icon.

Conditions of stay: comfortable double and triple rooms with a bathroom, meals: traditional meals

Arrival in the evening on the day of the workshop for dinner at 18.00, departure on the last day of stay after breakfast.

Program  workshops:

* meeting in the morning and evening for relaxation in a wooden chapel

(1889, with original ornamental polychrome)

* 5 hours of workshop with the teacher every day

* full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

* visiting historic wooden churches: St. Paraskeva (1843) or Michael the Archangel in Przysłup (1756)

* possibility of a trip to Krynica - to the Nikifor museum, to the Fr. Jana Pipki and mineral waters to the Wysowa health resort

"The technique of vinyl tempera  - practical use in iconographic painting on wood without gesso ". For people advanced in writing icons using the traditional method. Small group of max 10 people.

" Back to the masters of the Moscow school - The Mystery of the Painting of Andrzej Rublev, Dionysius and Teofan the Greek"

as part of this theme, we will paint the first part in a traditional technique : an icon of the Seraphim; in the second and third parts, we will deal with painting in the vinyl tempera technique directly on wood; themes: " Drawing and light of hands and feet in an icon" and "Background in an icon - realism or scenography".

drawing and painting in silence and concentration
