A stirring exhibition of Jerzy Nowosielski's iconographic painting in 1999 at the Main Town Hall in Gdańsk, filled with colors and deep content gave a strong impulse to start my adventure with the icon, especially the icon embedded in the art of the Middle Ages and specifically in Byzantium.

In the same year I graduated at the Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. My diploma, entitled: "Identity of the place - the Lower City of Gdańsk", was awarded in the category "Diploma of the Year" by the then president of the city; Paweł Adamowicz.

Over the years, writing icons became my passion next to my professional work. At that time, I was educated at iconographic workshops in Krakow at the Ecclesia Foundation of Sacred Art Artists and then deepened my practical skills and theoretical knowledge at a 3-year Christian East College in Warsaw.

In 2011, I started working as an iconographer and as a teacher of icon writing in the studio of Archangel Michael and St. Mary at the monastery Dominicans in Warsaw.

Currently, I carry out private orders as well as from institutions. In summer, I run iconography workshops in Nowica, a picturesque village in the Polish mountains

"Małgosia has been my friend for 30 years. For many years her path to the icon was" a path less wandered ". Despite other safe possibilities, she chose the difficult path following the voice of her heart, requiring courage, faith and self-confidence. Today it can be seen in Małgosia's icons emanating the strength of peace that comes from such wandering. " Katarzyna

"Małgosia's icons are real and touching a mystery to me. With them I feel that there is a place for me and something important is happening, probably because she herself is present here and now, attentive, and at the same time bright and beautiful." Ada

"Gosia's icons are exceptional in a triple sense; the message, technique and quality of the matter from which they are created. You can feel extraordinary attention to the choice and interpretation of the topic, careful workmanship, and a conscious choice of only good quality pigments and precious oak wood, whose texture is often used as an element of a ready-made icon. I am amazed how she manages to paint human figures and faces with such precision, at the same time giving them a special kind of peace and warmth. All this makes communing with Małgosia's works not only a feast for the soul and a joy for the eyes, but also simply a pleasure in dealing with beautiful objects." Robert

"Małgosia's work warms and brightens the soul" Kasia
